Learn to think differently: Eight simple steps for leaders by Ken Hudson

  • According to management guru and author, Peter Drucker, leaders have to be able to do the right things (effectiveness) as well as to do things right (efficiency). But in an era of hyper-competition and increasing customer expectations leaders also have to do things differently (innovation). I would argue that business schools often teach leaders and managers to think in the same way. How do managers break out of the business-as-usual, incremental cycle and think differently?
