• Doklab’s mission is to connect people with stories. We do this by developing storytelling tools: solutions that will help connect people and technology in an accessible way, based on stories. DOK, Delft public library, is one of the most advanced and forward-thinking libraries in the Netherlands. Here we spent a number of years working on a variety of projects to propel cultural institutions into the 21st century One of these projects (providing heritage material to libraries) made use of multi-touch technology. It soon became clear that this was an ideal platform for telling stories with digital content as it is both accessible and highly interactive. This technology also makes for a pleasant experience for every conceivable target group. Multitouch technology smoothly connects the physical and digital worlds with one another and is an important foundation for many of our solutions. At Doklab, we are continually examining ways to optimize the technique.
