How librarians can help researchers navigate open access choices

Thursday, October 17, 2013
11:00-11:50 a.m. EST (16:00-16:50 BST / 17:00-17:50 CEST)

Open access publishing has grown dramatically in the last five years. However, as with many paradigm shifts, there are growing pains associated, including predatory journal practices and lack of clarity around terms and options. In this live webinar, three presenters will guide librarians through the OA publishing landscape, discussing key issues librarians should raise with their researchers. Librarians will be able to help their researchers take advantage of OA publishing for discovery and dissemination of their own research, while concurrently ensuring that scholars make informed choices.
