  • ACRL is pleased to offer a free sneak preview of our forthcoming book The Librarian Stereotype: Deconstructing Presentations and Perceptions of Information Work. Edited by Nicole Pagowsky and Miriam Rigby, The Librarian Stereotype delves into a wide variety of aspects related to how librarians are perceived and perceive themselves. The book’s forward by James V. Carmichael, Jr. and first chapter by Pagowsky and Rigby are now freely available on the ACRL website (pdf).  The full book will be available for purchase through the ALA Store in late June 2014.
