Emily,

Everybody seems to love our library’s “Blind Date With a Book” display – we get so many compliments on how cute it is. But nobody’s checking out the books! Is there something you can suggest to change this?

  • Nobody’s Checking Me Out

Dear Checking Me Out,

With a project like this, I’d recommend looking at how the results match up with your original reasons for doing this in the first place. What was your goal in setting up this display? Was it to increase circulation of those particular titles? In that case, it clearly didn’t work. Adjust your approach and try again. However, if your goal was to make something adorable and engaging that would get people talking and put everyone in a good mood, it sounds like you have a success on your hands. Celebrate that success.
