The IPPHEAE project is funded by the European Union. The project team is investigating policies and procedures in place in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the whole of Europe for detecting and preventing student plagiarism. We are interested in comparing the situation within and across countries and we are also interested in finding out how effective the current practices are. The project also includes the development of some new tools for helping with this global problem. The project includes
- A comprehensive on-line survey of EuropeanHEIs at three different levels
- Undergraduates and master’s students
- Teaching staff
- Senior management
- A European level survey through interviews about national policies for plagiarism prevention and detection
- Software tools development for matching to the Lithuanian National Academic eLibrary (Doctoral and Master’s theses)
- Case studies to share good practice
- Institutional interventions for plagiarism prevention and detection
- Development of workshops and materials for students and staff
