André Chiote, an architect / illustrator living in Oporto, Portugal.
Oporto-based architect and illustrator André Chiote has made a name for himself when it comes to representing architectural masterpieces through digital illustration. on this occasion, he presents us his ‘library collection’ where he develops a set of images by approaching architecture as icons, aiming to simultaneously outline the emblematic and distinctive side of the building while creating a graphic composition whose expression could speak out beyond the structure itself. For Chiote, ‘libraries are like houses. and newspapers. and magazines. and music. and movies. the entire world connected, where we are with ourselves and with others. they are our memories and our legacy. they reference knowledge and leisure but also urbanity. libraries are the house where we must always return.’
