A feature film about the life and mysterious death of Vincent Van Gogh. Loving Vincent is the upcoming first fully painted animated film. It tells the story of painter Vincent van Gogh. It is written and directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, and is being produced by BreakThru Films and Trademark Films, set up by David Parfitt. The development was funded by the Polish Film Institute, and re-training of professional oil painters to become painting-animators on the film was partially funded through a Kickstarter campaign.The film is being sold by Cinema Management Group and financiers include City of Wrocław, European Capital of Culture in 2016.
