SCONUL has published its new report “Mapping the future of academic lIbraries” commissioned from the University of Sheffield Information School.
The report highlights a number of challenges and opportunities for SCONUL members, including the development of AI and machine learning, datafied scholarship and the on-going challenges of blurred boundaries between the library and the rest of the institutions and the development as library as a service.
The report and its implications were discussed at a conference at Goodenough College on 8th December. A presentation of the main findings of the research can be found here.
