Indiana University is home to more than half a million endangered audio visual pieces. These valuable items, dating back as far as the 1890s in some cases, are rapidly deteriorating, and their playback devices are largely obsolete. We are at risk of losing them. Indiana University’s Media Digitization and Preservation Initiative is charged with digitally preserving these precious pieces before it’s too late.
