The Great #Soviet #Encyclopedia (TSB)

The Great Soviet Encyclopedia (TSB) is one of the most extensive encyclopedias released in the world. The Great Soviet Encyclopedia (TSB) contains about 100 thousand articles and about 35 thousand illustrations. All this wealth of information fits in 30 volumes.

The Great Soviet Encyclopedia (TSB) survived three editions. The first edition was released from 1926 to 1947. The second edition of the Great Soviet Encyclopedia was released from 1950 to 1958. The third edition of TSB presented on this site was released from 1969 to 1978.

Great Soviet Encyclopedia (TSB)contains a wealth of information on all areas of human knowledge. From art and culture to science and technology. A huge number of articles are devoted to biographies of prominent Soviet and foreign figures. Many articles suffer from excessive ideologization and politicization, but nevertheless they present very well the views of that time. Although technical-technical articles are outdated, they nevertheless continue to bear historical value, showing the level of knowledge of that time. The article in the Great Soviet Encyclopedia (TSB) about the Periodic system of elements is very indicative in this sense .

This encyclopedia gives general information about all areas of knowledge, and it is better to look for more detailed information on many disciplines on specialized sites, for example, all information on hematology can be read on the site .
