Daniel Robbins is the Senior Curator at Leighton House, the West London art museum and former studio-home of the Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton. In 2013 and 2014, Leighton House hosted Ferozkoh: Tradition and Continuity in Afghan Art, an exhibition by Turquoise Mountain and the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. Today, Turquoise Mountain supported artisans are once again working on pieces for display at the museum, as part of a commission for the permanent collection. We sat down with Daniel to talk about Leighton House’s role in supporting contemporary makers.
