Today marks International Women’s Day, one where we honor women-identifying forces all over the world. As a global community of local music lovers, we couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate the women-identifying wonders who make Sofar what it is. Whether they be artists, engineers, MCs, curators, programming directors, or the music lovers who show up to each show, these are the folks at Sofar we celebrate today. But we don’t want the festivities to stop tonight, or tomorrow, or the next day. We continue to champion these women and remind ourselves of ways to support women in music everyday.
For now, we want to kick off this year’s IWD celebration with what else but good music from some of the voices of women of Sofar.
