Neighborhood analysis research from garbage; It is designed to examine the garbage that has been splashed from the private to the public area, after it was noticed in the surveys and face-to-face interviews that people did not give accurate information and were hiding the facts. This technique was first used by Professor William Rathje at the University of Arizona in 1973. The first garbage analysis in Turkey was made in 2011 by Ali Mendillioğlu and Umut Yiğit. In this age, in which we have transformed from a production society to a consumption society, the garbage that has spread from the private to the public sphere; consumption habits, political preferences, socio-economic status and reveals the truest evidence of the economic crisis. Ataköy and Şirinevler, which are in the same region and separated into two by the E-5 road and connected to each other only by an overpass, are the ones we examined.
